I-20 Animal Hospital

We took our family dog and best friend Roscoe of 11 years to this so called vet. We rushed Roscoe to these people on July 4th, 2013 when we noticed his stomach was very swolen. When we got there they immediately did an x-ray and told us that he had GDV or ""twisted gut"". We hoped that they loved animals enough to fix him since the tools were right there but instead got told that unless we had $6000.00 in our back pocket that we could take him home and let him suffer until he died. Our only option was to say good by to Roscoe. We had Roscoe peacefully put to sleep that day, it was totally unnecessary for him to pass away when, if they were like most vets that love animals and work out payment plans, they could have saved our dog. These people are money hogs and could care less what the outcome of your pet is unless you walk in waving money around. I left without my dog and my wallet $800.00 lighter that day. I guess the ""we are so sorry for your loss"" card i got in the mail really meant ""thanks for the $800.00 sucker"". If your dog is suffering and in need of emergency attention i would highly advise that you find a vet that loves animals more than a quick buck. more

I want to thank the staff of I20 for all there help and concern with Shilo My Cocker spaniel who started having seizures suddenly 6 months ago. After many late nite and weekend calls and visits the Doctors and Techs ran many tests and prescribed medication for him. Thay not only comforted me and my baby but called and found a local pharmacy who had it in stock for me. more

The staff at I 20 are always very friendly and I diagree with the previous post. If it wasn't for coming into them who knows what would have happened. There were several things that my regular vet had overlooked that was caught during my dog's exam. I wouldn't trust my animals with anyone else now. Pros: null Cons: null more

Took my puppy there on a weekend due to a broken front leg . After spending $500+ was told would have to refer to surgeon during week day. They sent her home with us and she was in extreme pain. Called them back to see if they could give her something stronger, was told for $400+ they could keep her and give her IV meds overnight .. After having the surgery called to see how much they would charge for a simple dressing/splint change- was told between $100 - $200. Went to my normal vet and he charges $54 ... Money pit will not take my animals there ever again..... Pros: null Cons: null more
