You will never visit a video store so stocked with badass cult/rare/vintage films EVER. Staff is really cool & there's FREE BEER EVERY TUES!

Eclectic staff, eclectic collection, eclectic store. Look out Blockbuster, who needs ya when there is an indie movie store that caters to the hip Austin crowd that is looking for more than the pretty exterior? Their collection of foreign films is absolutely priceless. The staff is really quirky and eager to help you find the film you are looking for or suggest a film they themselves enjoyed. The prices are very reasonable as well so don't hesitate to luv this store! more

A Great Local Store 8/17/2005

I Luv Video is a great place to find that movie you've been searching for or just to browse until something jumps out at you. Old and new, from the most arty foreign film to the cheesiest horror flick I Luv Video has something for everyone. One of my favorite things about this place is the fact that the employees write notes and draw funny pictures all over the movie cases. Sometimes those are more entertaining than the movie itself! This place also has a special place in my heart because of the friendly cat that is always sitting on the counter. more

above and beyond your blockbuster 8/16/2005

If you like independent flick, anime, or something obscure: then this is the place for you to try. I luv Video carries a wide selection of both VHS and DVD’s (though I think they might be doing away with VHS now). They can be your last or first place to look for a hard to find film. Thankfully they are located close to campus and the place is usually never packed. The employees are helpful and know more movies than I do, which is saying a lot. Parking isn’t too big of an issue since it’s usually never packed. more

Support Local Businesses! 8/16/2005

Come here and support a local video/dvd store. This place as a wide variety of movies rather than the very mainstream ones that Blockbuster Carry. IN addition you should "Keep Austin Weird" and help support the local community by renting from here. The employees all have their employee choices, so if you find one with similar tastes it saves you the process of choosing what video you want to rent. more
