My mother recently passed away and left my sisters and I with a large amount of gold jewelry. and a few sterling serving dishes. Having no intention of keeping some of the items(some old herringones that were too 80s for my taste, a couple diamond rings and a large sterling Wallace bowl), I took my things around Cincinnati to a few different places and was happy that I stopped into Hyde Park Rare Coin. The shop was lovely, a very clean, quaint place that immediately made me feel comfortable. It was nice to deal with the owner, who was very sympathetic to my recent loss and informative about the entire process(as I have never sold jewelry before and did not know what to expect). Everyone that I spoke with was very pleasant and I felt very satisfied when they offered me the highest price for my things. I was actually amazed at how much higher the price was that they offered me for my diamonds. A place that I stopped into in Kenwood told me that they didn't pay for diamonds, which made no sense to me because they weren't going to remove them and give them back to me...? A little sketchy if you ask me. Anyhow, I will return to Hyde Park Rare Coin, they are very nice and, more importantly, honest professionals. I was happy to return home and write a review so that I can let others know about my good experience.
