From and Old Employee 3/31/2006

Typical as it may be for a former employee of anywhere to bash the place they worked at, I cannot do that with Hy-Vee. I enjoyed working there as everyone was very friendly, not just to me, but to our customers. I worked the salad bar and am a testement to gloved-hand slicing and washing all our vegetables and additions. The soups are delicious, the florists truly care about their trade, even though the girl that worked there was around my age (18 or so). The cashiers were friendly and fast and the prices were good with or without the employee discount. more

Great grocery store 3/28/2006

I generally do not do the bulk of my grocery shopping at Hy-vee, however, I do frequent the store to pick up items throughout the week. The staff are very nice and helpful. The aisles are wide and the store is arranged in a manner that you can find items. The store is always clean and well lit. more

Hy Vee offers great bargins and a very nice atmoshere to shop in 6/15/2005

This Hy Vee is a new store and is very nice and clean, and well lit. Getting in and out is easy. Hy Vee may not have the lowest everyday prices, but they alwasy have a better selection than other stores and they have great sales adds and other specials. There is a deli with cheap lunch deals, and they have a kids club where they have special events for kids and treats for there birthdays. The employees are always very nice and helpfull. more
