Best Overall Groceries in Town. I work part time at Hy Vee, but also shop there. Hy Vee has been in town for 30 years while others have come and gone. A real effort is made to satisfy the customer and if we see anything substandard we bring it to the attention of the managers. I make a real effort as most do to present a helpful Hy Vee smile. Their prices on average and quality are just right for our small town of 600.\r

I have been working at Hy Vee in Trenton for about 9 years now and found it to be very satisfying. The people are friendly and concerned that the customers have a good shopping experience. If I can help them in any way to find what they are looking for, I do so. I clean the store at night, but often make afternoon trips into the store just to meet and greet employees and customers, many of whom are my friends and family from church and community. I am sorry that I made a typo on the old post above, we have a population closer to 6000, still not a big place, but bigger than 600, ha. Hy Vee has grown with the community and is a mainstay in the social arena by contributing to activities of the community and surrounding small towns. If you come to visit and have seen my comment on site, please say a word of kindness, ha. We work very hard to make you happy as a customer.
