If you like water parks, this one is worth a visit! Hurricane Harbor is a 45 acre tropical water park that attracts families and groups all season long. Located adjacent to Six Flags Great Adventure and Wild Safari in Jackson, NJ, Hurricane Habor packs in the crowds, especially on hot summer days.
PARK ATTRACTIONS
Hurricane Mountain - Six towering slides feature two unique, four-person, in-line, toboggan-style tube slides and four tube slides.
The Blue Lagoon - Massive wave pool generates three to five-foot waves.
Taak It Eez Ee Creek - Meandering lazy river almost a half-mile long circles around the park.
The Big Bambu and Reef Runner - Family raft ride featuring two huge slides - one offers a gentle, family rafting experience, the other a Level 3 white-water rafting adventure.
Juhranimo Falls, Cannonball Falls, Neptune Falls - Three-slide complex features the park’s tallest body slide and two enclosed, serpentine speed slides.
Bada Bing, Bada Bang, Bada Boom - Fly through dark, winding tunnels and open-air slides.
Boreas, Eurus, Zephyrus and Nortus - Four coaster slides packed with sharp curves and sudden drops.
Discovery Bay - Family activity lagoon filled with climbing nets, water gadgets, pint-sized slides, tipping buckets and a kids' size wave pool.
Most rides have height restrictions and I'd highly recommend small children have an adult who swims with them on all rides. Wear sturdy shoes at this park because the asphalt gets extremely hot during warm days! Apply sunscreen often (I like Blue Lizard) throughout the day, especially if you're going on the rides.
Bring your beachchair and a hat if you're not getting on rides. The park opens at 10 so get here early before the crowds, have your fun and leave before the traffic piles up on the Turnpike.
