Let me share a few thoughts on the posts from PB & concemedcitize. First of all, real estate agents are independent contractors so any dirty dealings should be reported to the State DOS and they will make sure any agent found guilty of wrong doing gets punished.\r \r Because agents are independent contractors, it isn't fair to make a blanket statement that the entire Hunt organization is incompetent or untrustworthy because of one or two bad seeds. Hunt, strives to get the best agents available to join them and has an excellent training program for new agents that teach you to treat your clients like kings and queens.\r \r Like any company, in spite of the best vetting processes a few may still slip through the cracks and if they are guilty of what was claimed, they will not be around for long because this is a referral driven business and word of those who are incompetent or worse gets out quickly.\r \r The best way to avoid such shenanigans is to do your homework on any agent you seek to work with and if you start seeing red flags pop up, don't ignore them. There are too many fine real estate agents available to waste time with anyone who looks less than stellar. more

Mark Tiebor of Hunt Real Estate essentially committed theft against my wife and I. I would recommend using any other Real Estate company in the area, of which there are several. more

Neil Gerrity & from Hunt & his partner/boyfriend George Siwy have cost me so much money & hard ship. I am happy to e mail more info & photos if you want. I brought houses from Neil & for the most part the dealings were OK. He said he would manger the properties for me which he did for a little while. Little did I know that he then pass the properties over to his partner/ friend, George. That is when it really went even worse .Neil would not return phone calls. Tying to contact George was impossible and Neils boss Mr L Izzo only returned my call once after leaving many messages. Even the owner Mr Hunt would not return phone calls. The properties were run into the ground,the tennets HATED dealing with him,the rent was rarely collected & passed on on time and I am now left setting with a mess. PLEASE before you put your self into the hand of certain people ask all the questions and cover all the bases.There are many good real estate companies in Buffalo.Look around. As I said for the most part the sale and was handle fine,mainly due to the lawyers,but if I had to go down this track again I would not. And once more I am happy to e mail you more info & photos. I wish I could give less than 1 star. And I am glad there is the likes of YELP so others can know my story & avoid being in the same boat. PB more
