Hunt Club Farm

We attended a party there yesterday. The parents of the birthday child were told that the event would be indoors and there would be heaters if the weather really cold (which it was). The "indoor" party was in tent with open sides. This did not protect you from the wind nor the cold. Keep in mind it was about 40 degrees and WINDY. All of the children were freezing (as were the parents) cold. Since it was supposed to be "indoors", children were not properly dressed for exposure to the cold for that length of time. Also , the "space heaters" were those small (roughly 6x8) heaters that you'd put under your desk at work. First, these did nothing to combat the cold and the wind. Second, these were sitting on a bench - keep in mind these were toddlers - where a child could have easily burnt their hands. I touched one of them just to make sure - it would have caused some serious burns. The bounce house was taken down shortly after the party started and the animals were taken in shortly after the party started. We were considering having a birthday party there in a few months, but Hunt Club has made sure that will never happen. If you decide to take your chances here, be sure to get everything in writing. These people are just out to make a buck and don't care about the party-goers. more

I have been attending Hunt Club Halloween events since I was a child, and I have very fond memories of my parents bringing me to these exciting events. Unfortunately, my experience at Hunt Club this past weekend was so disappointing, that I will never be returning. After prepurchasing an unlimited wristband online and arriving before 9:00 (as recommended by Hunt Club), I was told that I could only attend each event once but I could not purchase the less expensive ticket. No wonder they recommend you buy it online! I was told to go through each event in a specific order to be able to do all 3. Imagine my shock when, at 10:15, we had completed only the first attraction and were told by an employee that the hayride was not accepting any more riders, and that we may not be able to make it through the 2nd event, either! The event was scheduled to close at 11:00. I proceeded to the Will Call area to see if there was someone I could speak with about this situation, and (while many people were in the booth) no one would ... My family and I just went to one of my children's friends birthday parties at Hunt Club and once again had such a great time!! The farm is something fun and different to do with your kids-- Where else in Virginia Beach can you ride a pony and feed a goat? Definitely a fun family experience. Our family goes to the Easter Egg Hunt that Hunt Club puts on every year. Everytime we leave the farm my kids are asking when we can go back! We give Hunt Club an A+ on all they do! more

Love to visit Hunt Club Farm. They always have new animals for the kids to visit- and everyone working at the farm was very pleasant and helpful. I strongly recommend Hunt Club Farm for families. more

The most rude employees I have ever encountered. Over priced and under entertained. Many years ago it was a family fun scare night now, it is only about the mighty dollar, get em in, treat em bad, move em out. more

I visit the Hunt Club about 4 times a year. We go to the petting zoo and play on the wonderful playground at least two times a year. They have a wonderful setup with their animals and the kids have so much to do there. We also buy a lot of plants and vegetable seedlings there. They have a wide variety of things you can purchase. During the fall they also have a haunted hayride, a pumpkin patch and a corn maize for the kids and adults to do. I personally haven't done the hayride and maize, but my child has and loved it. more
