Very shady. The Hunt Club's only concern is taking your money. Guarantee you will not get your security deposit back. If you have a pet you will pay a $300 pet fee (nonrefundable) and $10 monthly pet rent....what in the world is pet rent! The lease contract that you sign is extremely thick and not well explained. It gives you the impression that they have something to hide. At first you think that the $200 deposit is affordable, but they get you on the back end, when you decide to leave. Unless you pay an additional $200 for them to clean your apartment, which is added to multiple repairs and modifications that you are required to pay for as well, you will be required to complete a list of cleaning tasks that is in no way reasonable. (ie. pull out washer and dryer and clean underneath, clean tile floor until it shines....tile doesn't shine!) Upon checkout they inform you that they are taking all of your deposit for repairs and cleaning, as well as an additional couple hundred dollars for paint, texturing and hole repair. So you end up paying $300-$800 out of pocket, in addition to your final months rent and utilities. This was the worst experience my wife and I have ever had with a lease/landlord.\r
Although small, the apartments are nice with granite counters and tile flooring in the kitchen and bathrooms. \r
They decided to paint the exterior this summer and only gave us 1-2 days to clear our patios. They told us we had to move everything inside the apartment, including the greasy barbecue!! The apartments are poorly ventilated and the smoke from the fireplaces fill the rooms like crazy....leading to further staining issues with the paint on the walls. All in all a terrible experience.\r
Everyone can complain about something when renting from a landlord, but we didn't realize how good we had it at our other apartments until we move in here and more poignantly when we moved out.\r
Please don't rent here...you will not be happy!!\r
