Upon entering the Hungry Heifer, I did not feel welcome. The food is way over priced. I Ordered the Pesto Blackened Chicken. Awful. My tab was $49 with three beers and an appetize...

Funky and fun 6/28/2008

Funky little hole in the wall with a great atmosphere. Loved the fried green tomatoes with crab and crawfish stuffing. A little pricey but the portions are huge. 'nough to share. They'll fry anything in the South...chack out the rolls. Decadent. The cook tends to the rare side for the steaks. more

Skip it 3/31/2008

Upon entering the Hungry Heifer, I did not feel welcome. The food is way over priced. I Ordered the Pesto Blackened Chicken. Awful. My tab was $49 with three beers and an appetizer. The service was so bad I ordered two beers so I wouldn't have to wait 20mins for the next. When we were read to leave it took 30mins to get our checks. Not to mention the 18% gratuity. Pros: The beer is cold. Cons: Everything else. more

Hefty Heist from Heifer 1/26/2003

Very quaint bar frequented by mainly locals. Food OK-Good, but at a hefty price. Just make sure your wallet is hefty on the way in. Pros: Casual Romantic, Very quaint, Intiment Cons: Very proud of stuff, Muy mucho dinero, Fair service more
