Finally a Chinese restaurant that isn't afraid of spicy food. Some places cater too much to middle of the road palettes that what they consider spicy is merely tingly. Hunan Taste has alot of hot dishes, which explains some of the Indian clientele who know spicy food when they taste it. In addition they have a variety of meatless items available which also makes it popular for vegetarians. For the bamboo lover, it's in almost everything! It's in a simple mini-mallish row of businesses that you might not notice, away from most high-traffic commercial areas. Their quaint interior boast restaurant reviews and pictures of various people, including celebrities who have frequented their restaurant. The host/waiter, and I assume owner, is always there so service is quick and polite. You can see into the kitchen so you see it's fresh and not sitting under a heat-lit buffet. Haven't made it at lunchtime but have heard it's busy. If you can't handle hot food this is not for you; spare the table and go to a Mr. Chau's. This place is definitely frequented by locals who can handle the peppers.
Pros: Spicy, local, quick service
Cons: limited parking
