Hunan Chester

I absolutely adore place. There are two Chinese restaurants in chesterland. I worked at wah sun when I was a teenager and they dropped a huge bowl of carrots on the floor and put them back in the bowl and started cooking them before even rinsing them off. Disgusting. more

I have eaten at both Chinese food places in Chesterland. It is no contest. Hunan Chester is by far the better of the two. \r \r I think it is funny that one user said that they had never seen a Chinese person in there.. since the cook and his wife are the owners are.. and the food is amazing! (Though they do hire local students to waitress and man the phone at times...I am guessing someone that works at the competition wrote the ONLY poor review..)\r \r Wah Sun has good ambiance.. which comes at the cost at higher menu pricings and only decent cuisine.\r \r Mai's lo mein, on the other hand, is delicious, well priced, and is always served with a smile. My husband enjoys their tofu and vegetable choices.. and my daughter and granddaughter are always asking when I can get more. more

By far this is the best place around. The General Tso Chicken is the absolute best i have ever had. The chicken is fresh and real. more

I enjoy frequenting this restaurant because the food is excellent. The portions are large and the average dish is between $9-11. Mae, the owner is indeed Chinese and a warm, hospitable hostess. She remembers her customers and is very good with particulars...she always asks about the family and takes pride in providing excellent service. Come in during the day for her special attention. I also frequent this restaurant with my clients who have intellectual disabilities and Mae always treats my ""guys"" with respect and patience...not a given in today's world.
