The Worst Rental Company 5/10/2011

Took out a lease in Aug 2009, a large 8 room house. First major rain, Niagara Falls poured from my bedroom window. Needed several large trash cans and a funnel to direct water into trash bins. Called the maintenance 4-5 times. Never answered or returned my calls. When you call the rental office about maintenance calls, they say ""we have nothing to do with that."" A robot response each time. I notified them that I would be moving because of the leaks, they charged me for everything: for hanging a picture, steam carpet cleaning, painting of walls - everything! Mind you, was only there for 8 months, took off shoes at entrance, place looked like when we moved in. They are the nastiest, greediest bunch of people I have ever known. They're application for rental is ridiculous. They ask you for every piece of info under the sun to move in there. We were just about to say forget it, when they approved us. WOULD NEVER MOVE INTO A HUBER HOME RENTAL. Got another family member to leave their property and moved into an apartment. Miss having a house, but cannot give my money to greedy misers! more

Read contracts carefully. These people will take you money and give nothing in return. These people are hated among their own community. These people rob from the poor and get away with it through court actions. Pitiful. Shameful. more

Lets see...where to start? The apartment was dirty when I moved in. Left for vacation the first night I moved in. They had a leak and my place was soaked through. They did fix. Took 2 months to fix my dryer. Oh the list goes on and on. Feces ""looked human"" in shed, never cleaned from first move in. Spent two days cleaning carpet, washing walls, cleaned the whole place when it wasn't clean when I moved in and they took $520 of my $555 deposit. Rediculous. Read the reviews on Huber Home Rentals, they are horrible. Check other companies because naturally everyone complains that has a bad experience. You will see that there is a difference with Huber. There are no good reviews other than the ones their company put on there. I've paid my rent on time and taken decent care of my place other than normal wear and tear. **WARNING** 10/1/2008

I responded to an employment ad and submitted my resume. I received a response (2) weeks later and an interview was scheduled. I decided to browse their website to learn more about Huber Investment Corp. but could not find their website which I thought to be odd seeing their business is real estate. In looking for their website I found numerous complaints about the company which was startling. I began to read each complaint one by one and felt a sick feeling in my stomach. Just to know I may have started working with a company that has such a bad reputation in the community. I understand that you cannot please every customer but the amount of complaints were astronomical! There is no way everyone can be wrong! I then decided to browse the Btr Business Bur. There I found that they rate UNSATISFACTORY due to a pattern of complaints and they they have failed to correct the underlying reason for the complaints. That is when I knew that I did not want to be a part of such a team. When I called Huber Investment Co. and advised that I was canceling my interview and why, the person on the other end (the one who was going to interview me) could have cared less and said ""ok"". Wow, how can a company like this continue to thrive when so many people have been hurt emotionally and financially (based on the numerous complaints I read)' And you got to ask yourself, is the owner of this company oblivious' Does the owner even care' If it were my company I would want to save my company's image and make sure that when it's my time to go, people will remember me and my company with good thoughts. I would want to leave a good legacy in the community and hand down a good solid company to my children one they could be proud of not ashamed of. Well that's just me, but what do I know' I'm just glad I did my research before I made the mistake of joining their team and associating my name with such a bad reputable company. Pros: Large selection of properties. Cons: You will be sorry you chose them. more

Renters Beware. SCAM 8/22/2008

Me and my girlfriend got a put down a deposit of 300 to hold the place after already paying the application fee. Well i lost my job a few days later i told them about it and the lady on the phone said that she would inform my realitor and update my info but i would probably be denied. Well a month later they called me 2 days before out expected move in date and told me that we were approved and that we owed $600 dollars in 2 days or we forfit the deposit. I told them the situation and they said it didnt matter and that there was nothing we could do to get our $300 dollars back. I talked to another person while walking out of the office and they said that they are known for waiting 1 or 2 days before your expected due move in date without any kind of reminder or contact for a month or months hopeing that you forget or cant come up with the rest of the rent so that they can keep your $300 deposit. They place we was looking at was a super small $500 a month bongalo which is still overpriced so i would hate to imagine how much we would have lost if we would have tried to get a bigger place from these thieves. All they care about is your money and if anyone would like to start a class action suit again these scumbags my email is white.86@wright.edu Pros: none that i can see Cons: Con artist.
