Please be warned before going into this store. The owner is agressively abusive. Her behavior is worse than any I have ever experienced in a retail setting (and perhaps anywhere else).\r
\r
My two sisters and I are avid collectors of vintage clothing, so I was very pleased to have a free afternoon in Burbank which gave me the chance to go into Hubba Hubba. I'd passed it several times while driving, and I was glad to have the chance to shop there.\r
\r
I wanted to browse the store with an eye toward purchasing Valentine's gifts for my sisters. I wasn't sure yet what those would be, but I thought maybe I'd pick out some jewelry for them, or some purses, or some cardigans.\r
\r
Immediately upon entering the store, I was accosted by the owner in an extremely rude manner. She wanted to know what I was looking for, and I replied, ""I'm just browsing, trying to get some ideas."" This is a standard, polite, and acceptable response in this circumstance.\r
\r
She then barked at me ""That was a question. I asked you what you are looking for."" Her tone and manner frightened me.\r
\r
I again replied, ""I'm just looking for now. Thank you.""\r
\r
She then raised her voice another notch and shouted, ""I""m asking you WHAT you are looking for.""\r
\r
Startled and frightened, i began to think that this woman was truly psychotic and dangerous. I made my way to the door, and she began racing towards me while being very verbally abusive. \r
\r
I have never been so scared in a store and on my way to my car. I was concerned that she might follow me.\r
\r
Her behavior was absolutely unacceptable, and I suggest that no one endanger themselves by entering her establishment.
Pros: None.
Cons: Agressive and rude owner makes shopping impossible.
