Can you have - stars this is the worst place in Heber. Service was SLOW and the waitress were not nice. I ordered the Denver Omlet nothing was cooked but the egg. The vegies were hard and not even warm. The scone was dough in the center. When I commented to the waitress she said ""well that is how they are made here, you should have said you wanted the vegies cooked"" I waited about 15 min for the not cooked food and at least another 15 for the waitress to come back and check with me at that time I asked for the ticket. more

We never even got to taste the food and I'm not sad about it. We stopped here thinking it would be nice home-style food, but we realized after 15 minutes of sitting with our menus shut that we still hadn't been served. As we waited the next five minutes to catch a waitress and ask her to have someone take our order, we watched as the hostess walked past very quickly several times and look away as we tried to make eye contact. When we finally had to say something really loud to get her to come to us it had been 20 minutes. We told her that we'd been waiting for 20 minutes and she said, ""okay,"" with no apology. Then she went back to her station in the middle of the restaurant without telling any of the waitresses that our order needed to be taken. Luckily, we were so frustrated at that point that we walked out. I would've been even more angry if I'd given any money to that place. Cons: Terrible staff, long wait more

We visited Heber this weekend and ate at the Hub for several meals. Great alternative to fast food in pricey area. It's one of the ?hole in the wall? places the locals love! They don't play background music, but I like that. The burgers were homemade the pancakes were huge. The help was friendly and attentive. It got busy after Winterfest and they worked hard to get everyone accommodated. Pros: Good Food, Attentive Staff Cons: Need updating more

My entire family stopped at The Hub Cafe for the 24th of July 2008. We had a large group and they sat us and then we waited and waited and waited. I got up and got everyone water. There wasn?t any background music and we could easily hear the other table?s conversations. The food was cold and bland. Our waitress was helping all the other tables and just left ours. It was obvious that they were understaffed. Our group consisted of 4 checks (4 couples). When we got our bills a gratuity had already been added to all our bills. I went to the cashier lady and told her that I did not get that much service to pay that gratuity. She got very upset and defensive and told me about how busy they are. I told her that I understood that they were understaffed but that I shouldn't have to pay for service that I didn't get because they are understaffed. The lady said some very rude things to my mother in law and me and called us jerks and told us to leave. Pros: Nothing Cons: Everything! more

I ate at this hole-in-the-wall over Memorial Day weekend (May/08) with my brother-in-law and father-in-law. Upon entering this old, run down excuse for a restaurant, our instincts told us to leave...we didn't. We sat at the bar and I ordered the chili and my bro-in-law had a burger. An hour later we were both sick as dogs and suffered for three days with food poisening symptoms. Doc confirmed. Not only should this place be condemned, but Child Protective Services should take note of the 11 year old son of the owner hustling around the restaurant working his butt off. This kid looked posessed as he was busing tables and cleaning up after the has-been, smoke breathed waitresses. Gotta be some legal ramifications of that situation for sure. Cons: food poisening more
