HP RACING DID ONE HECK OF A JOB ON MY STEREO & REMOTE START. 2/3/2011

I took my girlfriends car in to have a Remote start done on her Altima, and the customer service was excellent. They helped me find the right system (she is very picky). I picked out the 2 way Viper 5901. And while they were installing it I was looking around there store and I decided to also have them install the Alpine nav dvd head unit, as well as new speakers all around, which was gonna be a suprise for her. \r HP Helped to make my girlfriends birthday a success. I have been going there for many years and they have not once let me down. more

WORST SERVICE and EXTREMELY OVERPRICED 1/10/2011

RUN AWAY!!! These people are a bunch of scam artists!! I was originally quoted $350 for a stereo install. That included the harness and hooking it up to the controls in the steering wheel. Through no fault of my own and their incompetence, they were unable to bypass my amp. They gave me some line about giving me a break since they were unable to complete the work in the 8+ hours I allotted them. So instead of $250 for the extra labor, they were only charging $150. Gee thanks! The following week I had to take it back, for an additional 9+ hours, to get the work finished, only to find out that they would have to order another part and charge me an additional $200 to connect the stereo to the steering wheel controls. Basically they wanted to charge me $700 to install a stereo that my very thrifty hubby bought for $475. Somehow in the span of a week, a quote given by the owner had doubled. I highly recommend going somewhere else. HP Racing does not deserve your business. On another note, D&L Window Tinting provides much better service and a higher quality product if you are looking for window tinting. more

Best Overall Service I've recieved in a long time!! 11/2/2010

I am an extremely picky person and these guys catered to it. Trust me most places dont, and I've gotten pretty used to it. So after getting screwed by another shop in the area, I took some advice from an online forum and stopped in to have some exhaust work done to my new Dodge Ram. I will make a long story short and just say that I am extremely happy with the Magnaflow system that was put on my Truck and the service I recieved from MJ behind the counter was really great, and by the time It was all said and done they also installed a new stereo and Bluetooth for me as well. I wont bother bashing the other shop, Im not that kind of customer, but I will give credit where its due, HP is where its at. more

Great everything shop for your car 4/9/2010

First, kudos to Mike and Dan. They are both great to work with and did a fantastic professional job on all of my vehicles. I used HP years ago for all the tint and upgrades on my Infiniti G35, my FX45 and hadn't been back since. I recently purchased a 2010 Hyundai Genesis - they did a perfect job on the tint, clear shield, air intake, and an awesome factory add-on sub/speakers/etc. Finally, I had then install a complete system in my Hummer H2 - complete with custom bass enclosure, DirecTV, nav, rear seat entertainment, you name it, they installed it. A Real Pleasure having a business like this in our Community 6/30/2009

I was always a best buy or tweeter guy for years til one of my friends recommended this place to me. I always thought that they only did tinting, but soon realized that they go far beyond that. Their stereo guy Mike is incredible, He beat everyone elses price on my Alpine System, the install on my stereo was clean, quick, and it sounds great. Its no wonder that they've been around since 96. Traveled over 200 miles to get what I need and want 4/10/2009

I do plenty of automotive work between MD and VA. I have a S55AMG that nobody would touch to help me push the envelope on the track. But taking a trip to 705 Crain Hwy, let me know that there are some people who have imagination, insight, and great knowledge. To add to this David and his posse showed top notch customer service, dedication, patience unheard of in this field of work. Being professional at all times even in a packed store made me come back. But the tipping point for me was this........ David took time out with me even after the store was closed for over an hour to design a nasty exhaust for my Benz in the end of January freezing cold. Now when they see & hear me on the track ,and ask where? I say HP Racing baby! Hell he didn't even know if I was going to buy anything or not! From that point on he had me hooked no questions asked. By far the best customer service hands down. You get what you pay for, and everything at HP Racing is worth the penny. A Company w/ High Standards Marks High in My Book! 2/25/2009

I was referred by a member of the Corvette Forum to look these guys up, and it was well worth the extra drive. Now I have already referred a bunch more Vette owners. They did an awsome job on my tint and my Alpine Stereo System. And trust me when your lookin for the high end brands like Alpine & Kicker this place has everything. and unlike some other places I checked out, they also knew what they were talking about. If you stop in ask for Mike B. he's the guy that helped me and he's an audio genius. Pros: Great Service and Selection. Cons: Kind of a far drive for me but well worth it more

The Exhaust on my Truck Sounds Unbelievable and the Job Looks Great!!!!! 1/21/2009

I would just like to take this opportunity to thank the guys over at HP especially Dave, for taking the time to help me find the right muffler and Exhaust System for my 06 F150. Ive gained gas milage but most of all it sounds and looks great. It really compliments my Truck. Thanks Guys. Pros: Lots and Lots to choose from. Highly Satisfied !!! Great Alpine Inventory. 1/13/2009

My Buddy got me a gift card to this place for christmas and I had never been there so to say the least I was a bit sceptical. The Second I walked in and saw all of the Alpine stuff in stock I was in Heaven. Finally a place that stocks the good stuff, & not just the economy line I mean the GOOD STUFF. Like the X-Type Sub I picked up from them and the PDX amp. And there Tech I talked to about all of the specifcs is an audio Genius. needless to say I am a happy customer and I will be returning. I'll keep it simple this is a good group of guys to deal with and your not second guessing yourself when you leave, wondering if you've recieved the best price. Trust me I looked around and after vistiting there showroom and talking to pretty lady, It wasnt difficult making up our minds. Pros: Its a small opporation so we received individual attention. MY BEST FRIEND TOLD ME ABOUT THIS PLACE AND SHE WAS RIGHT, AWESOME WORK!!! 12/3/2008

I do not usually take the time to wright reviews on businesses, but after visiting HP I had to commend them some how. I went to them because my best friend just had her remote start done and I was soooo jealous, so I asked her where she took it and she quickly told me HP. Well I took her advice and had a remote start system with an Alarm installed on my New Accord and its like the best thing Ive ever bought for my car. And the reason that Im wrighting this review is because last year around Christmas my boyfriend had a remote start put on his Cherokee at one of the BIG BOX stores because of the low price, only to find out that by the time it was all said and done the system cost him $400 more than what he had originally been quoted because of all this extra stuff that needed to be installed in order for it to work. They conveniently didn't tell him this until after his car was apart and most of the stuff was installed. Dave at HP took the time to tell me about the bypass and what extra stuff my car might need in order for it to work right and the price I was quoted was the price I ended up Paying and I love it. I will be bringing my Integra Show car in next for some work. Thank's HP Pros: An Honest Company To Deal With For A Change ! more

Great service, knowledgeble staff 11/27/2008

I've just had work completed on my 4th car with HP Racing, and just like my previous vehicles I left there completely satisfied. They have performed everything from window tint to aftermarket body work and each and every time my cars have been treated as if they were working on there personal vehicles. I couldn't ask for better service or courtesy from them. This car is my personal favorite (Cadillac CTS) and they babied it and left no hint of there work outside of the tint and aftermarket kit , no shavings, no dirt, no dust , nothing!!!! I've recommended them to my friends with high end vehicles like BMW's and Infinity's and they came away satisfied. I've noticed a lot of bad reviews on city search for these guys and that's sad, because I've been a customer for over 10 years and they've always stood behind their work. Ignore the bad reviews and Give these guys a shot, I believe you won't be sorry. Pros: knowledgeble staff, very courteous and personable Cons: small waiting room, but seriously, how much room does your butt need? more

AWESOME SERVICE, GREAT SALES PEOPLE, SECOND TO NONE!! 11/18/2008

All that I can say is that this place knows what its doing. I had a remote start and Tint done on my explorer today and left a happy customer. I have been a customer of HP's now for probably 10 years and they always take care of me and everyone else that I know whose gone there. Pros: The guys here know what there talking about. Cons: A little far from home but worth the drive. more

THIS BUSINESS PRIDES ITSELF IN EXCELLENCE AND HARD WORK. 8/9/2008

First of all allow me to say that as the owner of HP Racing Inc. alot of negative reviews have been written over the last year about my company on this search engine. A couple of them are legitamate with reason. but the other 7 or 8 of them are False and intentionally placed to give my company a bad name and reputation. We know exactly who it is and without naming names please look at the user name ""HMUGZEY"", who posted a negative review about us on 6/20/08, and then the same user posted a glorious advertisement on 8/08/08 for B&A Automotive Unlimited, Please check it out, this is the same company that used to be HUTH MOTORSPORTS for about a year or so but had to change their name for some strange reason. and before that they were ""RICHIE AUTO OUTLET"" selling used cars. This is the same company that used to be located right next door to us. Im sure if the email, and IP addresses could be traced by an administrator of this search engine they would see for themselves. Unfortunately this day and age people can say whatever they want about whomever they want and there is nothing to regulate it but one thing is for sure, we have been around for almost 14 years, same location, same owner, same principles, we tint about 5000 cars a year, (about a hundred cars a week) and have a countless number of satisfied customers. We are not perfect, but If there is a problem with our service we will do whatever we can to try and make it right. Thank You to all of our loyal customers. Pros: Great Service and Fair Prices more

Looks nice....but.... 5/29/2008

This place does offer a decent amount of parts. By that i mean, if your looking for headlight bulbs, intakes, or things of that nature then you might want to stop in, IF IT IS ON THE SHELF. Otherwise, don't waste your money. You can get the same parts online for about 1/3 less. Workmanship here is shady. I had a tint job done on my wife's car and the place burned the rubber gasket in the window, then told me it was like that when they brought it in! Seriously? I mean, i don't care if you break something just pay for it and fix it right. My son had his exhaust done here also, and he had to go back a few times because it kept banging around under the car. When we went back the first time I asked to speak to the manager/owner, he explained he would take care of it. He didn't. It happened again about a month later. So fed up i bought him an exhaust you can bolt on for around 300 dollars. This shop charged him about 350 to do a ""custom"" exhaust. The bought exhaust hasn't had an issue since.\r \r I have had heard quite a few bad reports about this place since my dealings there. I don't think i will be returning here. BEST TINTING, BEST SERVICE, AWESOME STAFF 7/27/2007

Ive had my tinting done at some other places before, but my experience with HP was great, a friend referred me and went there last week and had mine and my girlfriends cars done. They took me right in, went over in detail about the different films they offer and I was able to check out other stuff for our cars in there showroom while we waited. This place is first class, Nice waiting area w/ a plasma TV and great people to help you. I Strongly suggest this place. Pros: Highly Experienced Staff, First Class Tinting Cons: Nothing more

good work, until something breaks again 4/26/2006

Well, lets see. I had my catback-exhaust done, and intake put on both by HPRacing....i've had to had the intake fixed twice already, and now the exhaust needs to be fixed. Car ran good, and sounded good when all the work got done the first time, but this is starting to get a little annoying......and expensive Pros: Good Quality parts, Very Knowledgable, Decent Prices Cons: Good work, until....., Poor Customer Service, Inconvient more
