I recently took my 07 Honda Civic Hybrid in because my IMA light was on. Come to find out the battery had failed and needed to be replaced. I am a highway commuter and my car was 6k over the 80k warranty. I was therefore responsible to pay for the new battery in full which can cost anywhere from $2000-$3500. I was very dissapointed in the inital battery life, I still havent been able to get a clear answer on what the battery life expectancy is and why mine failed. Apparently Honda has no answer. So I ordered the replacement battery, it took two days to arrive, it was installed and go figure it was defective as well. This is a real confidence buster.....so they re-order another battery, how long will this one last? Another two days and car is ready for pickup. So I pay and get in my car and look up and I have a huge crack in my windshield. I had a previous rock chip that I had for over 8 months no cracks, now all the sudden I have a huge crack! I immediatly call the manager out to look at and he basically says I am out of luck, but go figure they can fix it. When I initally broguht my car in they had a "windshield expert" look at the window and try to sell me on a chip repair, he had put equipment on the window and Im not so certain this didnt cause the intial cracking. I am very dissapointed that first off they didnt give me warning that my windshield was now cracked and tried playing it stupid like they didnt know. Then they said it was probally thermal fluctuations but we had greater differences in the previous weeks of me bringing my car in than we did while I had my car in the shop. I just spent over $2000 on repairs and they were unwilling to at least share the responsiblity of the repair. For a new window roughly $400, pay half and I would of been a happier camper, do nothing and deny fault and now I will never go back and am writing a negative review. Thanks Howdy Honda. -Spencer
