Annie has Moved...Still in Oregon City !!! 10/14/2009

Annie has relocated her framing business to the Red Soils Business Park in Oregon City. Easy to find just off Beavercreek Rd with parking in front of the new biz. Yep, it is all new and now called...Annie's Hang Ups! Too cute, huh! She still is the best designer in the PDX area and has kept her prices down despite the economy. Go find her and support this business! Pros: Huge space with all Oregon Artists, great prices too! Cons: Can't think of any, this place is awesome! more

New Location! Oregon City finally has CULTURE !!!! 1512 Washington St. is a must see! 8/29/2008

I just dropped in on Howden Art & Framing to see the new gallery.......WOW!!! The place is impressive & Annie is still the top designer in the business. She makes you feel right at home while showing the 45 artists she has on display in the gallery. It is easily 3 times the size of her previous location. The spaciousness of the gallery & the natural light on the artwork is gorgeous. A big plus is the ample parking behind the building. You can pull up to the back entrance easily off 15th street. Pros: Wonderful experience, you can learn so much from the owner. Easy parking in back. Cons: Having people get past the old image of Oregon City and see the new businesses coming into the city. more

A Gallery that makes you feel at home 11/8/2007

Howden Art Gallery is easy to find, great location, but what I really loved is how hospitable and friendly it is. You know the difference between wine tasting where you are made to feel like you don't know anything or the wine tasting where they let you enjoy your own taste and decisions??? It's like that. The owner, Annie, is friendly and doesn't ""look down her nose"" like too many people in the gallery business do. She's real people, supporting real artists that live locally. She put me in touch with an artist whose work I admired so I could have a custom glass piece made. In less than 2 weeks she was calling me to come pick it up. It was amazing! She must really have a good relationship with her artists. The customer service is wonderful! Pros: easy to find, good parking Cons: Not enough exposure on the market more

Awesome art gallery featuring local artists. 11/15/2006

Not only will you find local artists featured in this wonderful shop, but also unique gifts and the best prices in framing any where! Before you head out to The Pearl or to one of those ""other"" framing shops, check out Howden Art and Framing. Pros: Convenient parking. Other shops to browse nearby. more

Fantastic Gem!! 3/20/2006

Everyone should check out this little shop. On top of being a great frame shop (Annie is so friendly and really knows what she is doing) there are amazing artisan and unique gifts and great art on the walls. She hosts a new local artist once a month - great for local artists! Pros: Fresh Local Artists, Great Parking, Unique Gifts more

Art Scene in West Linn? you bet! 3/3/2006

Annie has created a really great environment for really local artists, and they are great. Her framing is brilliant, too and very competitively priced. You can choose or own or just let her loose. As well, her home picture placement service turned my eclectic collection from a random assortment into a ""gallery"". I have gone in for framing and come out with new art on several occasions. The pricing is within reach, so impulses can be carried out with impunity. I also patronize the Woolley Gallery downtown so I am have broader ""local"" interests, too. If you are out this way, you should stop in, you never know she might be having a party to ""meet the artist"". Since they live nearby, it happens regularly. Pros: good prices, cool stuff, easy access more
