My experience with Howard Management Group has been excellent! I was living in hotels and out of my car, so I really needed to find a place ASAP. Nancy went the extra mile to get me the apartment within a day or two of sending my application. When I went to their office to sign the paperwork, everyone was extremely friendly and helpful. I could immediately tell the staff and owner really care about their customers. There was a very friendly dog in the office, which I took as a very good sign; happy workers in a positive environment translates to excellent customer service! I have been in my apartment almost a month, and today I was shocked to have received an e-mail reminder about my balance about to be due, with a friendly note asking how the apartment was working out. I have a lot of experience renting from big apartment management groups and even individual owners, and no one has ever sent me a friendly reminder about a balance about to be due! Howard Management Group offers an easy to use auto-pay system for rent payments, which I signed up for today after receiving their friendly reminder.
As for the negative comments about Howard Management's performance during an emergency situation, I have had nothing but professional, positive and prompt service from their maintenance department. As a recommendation to anyone renting an apartment, I would advice putting any requests regarding emergency maintenance in writing in addition to calling. Because apartment management companies have many customers, your requests may be getting buried. Being as meticulous as possible on your end will help get your issue get resolved as soon as possible, and in the event of a true dispute, provide proof you did everything on your end that you could.
