Save stress and time, sleep in your car! Got to the front desk to check in. Gena, the lady at the front desk was already talking to a ""customer"" who was in pajamas about getting fired from Target. I asked about the microwave and refridgerator I had already paid for. She said I would have to pay $30 more. Instead of doing the right thing for the customer she would not give me the 1-800 number for howard johnson, nor would she give me the number for her manager. She did not give me any options as to what to do to rectify the situation. After I found the number for customer service myself, Gena said I was ""acting like a bitch"" to the ""customer"", who appeared to be her friend. After getting nowhere with customer service, they would not refund my money so I was stuck in a hotel with holes in the wall, black dots in the bathroom, a broken toilet seat, and a shower that is impossible to turn on without considerable force. They say you are only as good as your worst. I have always thought of Howard Johnson's as a decent hotel for the price. Now I will never stay in a Howard Johnson again.
