Best

I am very BIG on Indian food and I have to say. This places ROCKS! Most Indian buffets only offer a full buffet on the weekends. I love the variety of foods you get from the buffe...

Worst

The buffet was very bad, though they had a number selections

Not recommended for a nice indian-dining experience 9/30/2007

This was the first indian rest. I went to in Miami, the owner just like the person below me mentioned, is careless, we had to stand up there waiting and he didn't even care to ask us table for how many, until we approached him ! We said table for two, and then he told the waiter table for three. The menu had so much variety, so I said that's great, it might make up for the rude wait. Pros: nothing i can think of Cons: service, food taste more

OWNER APATHY 9/29/2007

The owner here does not care about the customer. From the moment you walk in, you are not acknowledged, despite having made eye contact with the owner. You are made to feel, as if you where imposing on the owner. The owner just has way too much attitude, not the type of person whom should be in such a people related business. Despite being mid week, and plenty of tables, we where still made to wait, having our meal ordered took another 15 min, I finally stared at the owner, and he took our order (with an attitude). The food was okay, but not at par for the price they charge. Lamb was very rubber like, beef curry was better. Waiter was amicable, but by then, our mood was fouled. The only thing harder to swallow than their rubber lamb, was the $50 + bill for a lousy dinner. Would never come back here again, and highly advise others, to save your money and go somewhere better. Pros: Leaving the establishment Cons: Service, Food, Ambiance, Cleanliness more

Great Deals 8/27/2007

For those who are somewhat new to Indian food, House of India is a good place to come by. The restaurant has a couple options that offer a group of entrees which resemble a typical Indian dinner. For those who know what to order, House of India has very tasty offerings at hand. In my opinion, House of India has never dissappointed me as far as taste goes. It is true that service may be slow sometimes, or that they will forget to bring your tea if not reminded, but overall it is a great restaurant and one I visit very often because it has some of the best food in town. Add to that the tastiest and largest Indian lunch buffet for under $10, and you have a loyal customer. Pros: Great Food Cons: Sometimes Slow Service more

Best Indian Restaurant in Miami 8/19/2007

Me and My family travel alot and we know first hand that there are very few good Indian Restaurants around. House of India was one of the best Indian Restaurants I have ever been to in the US or UK! Pros: Good food, service on Wed, and selection Cons: parking! more

Other than the chicken tandoori 7/2/2007

Service was poor, carpet smelled like urine. Most of the food we ordered was terrible except the chicken tandoori more

Worst indian buffet on the planet 5/23/2007

Worst indian buffet on the planet...absolutely atrocious. No flavor, poor selection, no spices, mostly sauce/oil and an occassional chunk of low quality meat. i am about to shred butt because of them. i've had dinner there once before and it was also sub-par compared to Imlee, which is a fine, fine Indian restaurant (but a little more expensive) Cons: many more

THE worst Indian I've ever had 3/3/2007

The wait on a Saturday eve at 8:30PM was 25 min (MY BAD didnt reserve no big deal). Pros: Leaving the restaurant Cons: Bad food lousy service more

Delicious and authentic... 7/24/2006

I recently had the pleasure of eating at House of India. The food was delicious. We enjoyed the kafta kabobs, basmati rice and delicious vegetable plates.. The tandoori chicken would of been my only complaint. I've been to several restaurants that specialize in tandoori, and this wasn't one of those places. The chicken was dry and it was a sliced breast you can pick up at the local Publix, with a flavoring added to it. Very disappointed. The restaurant doesn't fill up fast so there is plenty of seating. All in all, I enjoyed it.. But I would pass on the tandoori chicken. Pros: Everything was amazing, except.... Cons: Tandoori Chicken.. more
