House On Chase Creek

Easy to get to via LIRR & ferry (make sure you have 2 dollars in change for ferry token), Sharon was kind enough to pick us up from the ferry, even though we arrived at around 11pm. Sharon offered us fresh homemade banana bread, and gave us excellent recommendations as to local places to eat. Breakfast was delicious, and although non-homemade waffles were part of the breakfast offering, so was fresh fruit, homemade banana and zucchini bread, yogurt, and cereal. When I made the reservations, because the room I had requested was not available, we were given the suite at the cheaper room's rate-very nice! Plenty of wood was provided for the fireplace, and the view was amazing-there were even swans on the pond. Pros: Good rates, pleasant owners Cons: none! more

Lovely place, very clean and comfortable. A great place to chill. Breakfast is a non event, wish a bit more effort was put into it. Some really hot coffee and freshly baked muffins instead of Eggos perhaps? Bill is very nice, he and his wife give the guests space, not in your face like some B&B innkeepers. Would go back for sure. more
