I can't say enough how much I enjoy getting my tattoos done at House of Ponchos! I stopped by on 2/7/12 to get my tattoo drawn up and priced and then made my appointment with Dave for the following afternoon. Dave has done 4 tattoos for me in the past and I love every single one of them; #5 was no exception! He does amazing clean work...I wouldn't keep going to him if he didn't. He took his time to make sure it was placed exactly where I wanted it and that it looked exactly how I wanted it to. Even though it was my 5th tattoo with him, he still walked me through the process and explained everything, making me feel very comfortable. Dave was social yet focused on his work resulting in this customer having another wonderful tattoo experience. The shop itself is great, it's increadibly clean and all of the staff is very friendly and helpful. I live in Forest Hill and have many tattoo places around my home but I choose to go out of my way to go to Dave at House of Ponchos because every experience I've had with him and the shop has been a pleasant one! I will be returning again and again! more

I was excited to get my first tattoo so I did quite a bit of researching. I saw a few of my friends tattoo's that looked really good, they were done at house of poncho also. Seems that none of the guys that did my friends tattoos were there anymore so they told me to trust Dave that he was really good. I wasn't impressed from the start the way he was rushing, and talking on his phone the whole time. I thought that was weird. The price was reflecting upon how long it would take which it cost 400 dollars and it only took him an hour to do. This pissed me off also. All the lines are shaky, and the shading is half faded, and it scabbed really bad. I will not be going there anymore. It is really clean and the people were nice, I just wouldn't reccomend this guy, I am not sure about the other people so I won't just assume they are bad too. more

I've gotten 3 different sessions done at Ponchos. My forearm, left shoulder, and my right wrist. The pricing was good, everyone there is extremely friendly and make you very comfortable while you are there. They help with your artwork so that its one off and not like everyone else. The place is cleaner then most peoples houses and some hospitals. They do everything in front of you not ""go into the back"" to get something, very bright and open. Great shop. Recommend this place to everyone. more

Looking for a great tattoo artist even a great piercer? Look no further I have found both in one location, easy to get to hard to leave. I just had my cheeks pierced, everyone was very helpful with this process, answered any and all qestions I had. Very very helpful. I went back to get the jewelry changed again wonderful staff and cannot wait to go back. HIGHLY RECOMMEND. Check them out. I had Casey draw up what was suppose to be a custom tattoo for me. I paid extra for this and the it was suppose to be one of a kind. I came back three weeks later and was very happy will the design. I felt like the price was on the high side, but since I had already paid for the drawing I let him do the tattoo. The work was fine, but I was very disappointed when I saw the exact same design on the wall of another shop. I was told that it was ""flash art"", and bought by many tattoo artists. So why did I pay them extra for him to ""draw"" something that he just stole from another artist? Pros: clean Cons: I was lied to more

i recently got my first tattoo at the House of Ponchos. It is very clean and the people working are very friendly. Two things that help make me feel comfortable when making a body altering change. Their artwork and attention to detail is amazing. They also do great portrait work. I highly recommend everyone check this place out!! more

Got my second tattoo here and was a way better time then my first one.Very clean environment and excellent staff.Very good artists and good music playing.I've been in other shops and this one is the best i've seen by far.I will surely go back again for another.(if my wife allows) Pros: Very good artwork Cons: a little pricey , but you get what you pay for more

With all the ""tattoo"" shops popping up the the area, it's nice to walk into a shop where everything is clean, no smoking inside the shop, and the guys have been properly trained. I didn't get any attitude walking in the door, and everyone had portfolios so I could check out the artists work. Even the portfolios were cutting edge electronic.
