I can't think of another local downtown business that is doing more to try and reach out to the community than House of Heroes. Whether it be hosting the monthly "House of Horrors" (where the public is welcome to come and view a free horror movie on a large projection screen) or hosting the popular "Half Day Game Day" on a semi-regular basis, the shop makes every effort to bring in the public for something more than spending their dollars. House of Heroes also has a wonderful selection of new comics & back issues for every sort of comic fan out there. Additionally, HOH carries a great selection of staple independent board games and card games. Friendly & intelligent staff make this a shining jewel of the downtown marketplace in Oshkosh. more

House of Heroes is a very unique store- I have never been in another one quite like it before! They have a very large selection of comic books and you are sure to find what you are looking for. The store is very well-organized and clean. The associates know their stuff and will help you out if you are looking for a gift for someone. They even have an area in the store where you can play different kinds of games! more

This has got to be one of the best stores in Oshkosh, they have an incredible selection of comics and a great staff. But the BEST PART is that they have an area set up to PLAY all sorts of games like dungeons & dragons or magik, trade cards, hang out, etc. Its really a fun place if you're into those games, and the crowd that is there is really into playing. The space was big and better then the place they use to be at. There opening and closing hours are good. They have cheap comic books and sometimes even free one too. They also carry Yugioh, Raw, Magic cards. PROS: Big space and friendly people CONS: more
