House Of Blues Cleveland

I just hosted a birthday party at the House of Blues and I WILL NEVER GO BACK. Our server never smiled once and had such an attitude from the moment we got there even though we were a well behaved table of 6 AND a 19% gratuity was included in our bill. When we ordered our appetizer, it was at first delivered to the table next to us. Then all night, servers walked around with plates of food seemingly guessing as to which table it belonged. We were interrupted several times with question of ""who had the cajun whatever"" and it was never anyone at our table. The spinach dip was such a small portion it hardly filled the bottom of the bowl and the chips lacked salt and the salsa was seriously out of a jar from Save-a-lot. The corn bread was good - but the only vegetarian option were those listed above and a side of mashed potatoes which again lacked salt. The Fish and Chips were totally greasy and disgusting. My drink, when it finally arrived, was $11 which wasn't listed any where on the drink menu. This place completely sucked and is overpriced. Pros: fun atmosphere Cons: too many to list here! more

Attended Tokio Hotel concert at this venue. It was a great, small venue. My daughter headed straight for the mosh pit. Yea, it was crowded like you would expect, but at 5'6"" or a little less, she was able to see fine, got great pictures and generally thought it was wonderful. I opted for the balcony and again, could see great and had a great time. Staff I encountered were friendly. They came to us in the balcony to serve drinks. Yea, they were expensive but not more than I'd expect. I really liked the atmosphere at the HOB and would go back anytime. Pros: Intimacy of atmosphere Cons: Cost of drinks, if you don't like mosh pits go to the balcony, have to get there early and line up more

We visited Cleveland to attend the Twins - Indians games. The staff was very friendly. The beverages were tasy and the food was great. Major kudos to the staff though. Try the Mediterranean style calamari for a tasty appetizer. Great atmosphere too. We went to all of the hot spots in town and this was our favorite place. Highly recommended! Pros: Friendly staff, tasty beverages, atmosphere. Cons: None. more
