the lobster special was good...love that I can once again have Lobster locally...totally miss the Nutcracker. But can't wait to try some of their beef selection. more

Good meal everytime!! 4/24/2011

I spent several weeks working in the Oakdale area. I have worked all over California, Oregon and Nevada. so, needless to say I have eaton in alot of different places. We ate at the house of beef almost every night. The food was excellent, the service was great. I had different steaks, chicken, pasta, soups, salad dishes. Never a bad meal. The prices were right in our budget. Never left hungery. And, even thought some nights we would try other places we ended up with staying with The House of Beef. It was worth every dime and then some. Thank You for making my time away from better. more

Easily the best in town! 5/5/2009

I've eaten at this restaurant for years, and have even had them cater events. They're food is always delicious. And they're meat counter is amazing, forget going to the grocery store to buy meat. It's a little more expensive to buy it from a butcher but it really is better. They're probably most famous for the tri-tip sandwiches, but I'd be willing to guess that everything on the menu is good. more

This is a great restaurant. You can?t beat the tri-tip, either as a sandwich or a meal. It?s excellent and the salad bar is a meal in itself. The service is quick and friendly. They also offer some of the best catering around. more

Wonderful steak 9/18/2008

I?ve been to numerous occasions in the area that have used House of Beef as caterers in the past so I was aware of their food before I ever tried the actual restaurant. I looked forward to dining there as I?ve always enjoyed the catered food. The dining experience at the restaurant itself was not a letdown. I had the filet and it was delicious. They offer an abundant salad/soup bar and the staff is friendly and helpful. more

Great Beef 4/15/2008

I've attended a few weddings where House of Beef catered and the food at all of them was fabulous. They always do a great presentation and the prices are reasonable. more
