Two blocks from Bourbon Street, New Orlean's oldest hotel is full of elegance and style. Hotel Monteleone opeened in 1886 and holds plenty of history. A place for many authors to stay while their books are written along with a haunted history, this hotel is truly full of magic. Home to the carousel bar, a bar that looks like a carousel and actually spins. The rooms are small but offer lots of elegance, including a nice plush spa robe for you to enjoy during your stay. My husband and I stayed in a King Superior room for $129.00 per night. Being so close to Bourbon Street, we were able to hear a lot of the commotion throughout the night. We were offered comfort in the nice bed. The hotel offered room service, though we did not order. Movies and games were offered for an additional charge. Valet parking is available at the hotel.
