Great Service 2/15/2011

In November I was in a accident, my car needed to get towed, EP Towing towed the car and it was brought to Hot Rides, I went there on a Saturday and they weren't opened, but the owner happen to be there and he helped me with a rental car. My car needed both body word and mechical work, they called me and kept me updated on what was going on and how long the repairs would take, My car was also taken to EPAB which they own, for the body work and my car came out beautiful and I have been back there since for a Inpection and other things that needed to be done. Was never charged more then what was quoted. I am very happy with them and will continue to bring my car to Hot Rides. more

Over quoted and over charged 10/4/2010

I drive by these guys every day and admire the cars they have parked out front so when my car died 1/2 mile from them, I had my car towed to Hot Rides. I figured they would be psyched to work on my SVT Focus. Turns out it was my timing belt. I figured, fine, I know it's a big job and these guys do some serious re-builds. They were happy to rent me a car for $20 a day. I was happy too since it was so convenient. Things quickly went downhill. The rental turned out to be filthy and unsafe for my kids since the rear seat belts didn't work (one was nonexistent, the other wouldn't extend) Then I got a repair quote from them that was $1,000 higher than anyone else! They didn't do anything to diagnose it besides turn the key. I decided to take my car somewhere else. They were OK with that since they got to charge me for the 18 mile tow. Then when I returned the rental, they jacked me for $10 more per day since I didn't have my repair done there even though I gave them back way more gas than was in it when I picked it up. Thanks for kicking me when I'm down guys. I won't be back. Ever. more

    As owner and operator for 26 years of East Providence Auto Body, I have decided to expand to a full restoration facility with mechanical service. I was excited to have the opportunity to save a premier restoration facility in Rhode Island from its demise and then developing the facility to its full potential. I felt it was a natural expansion from collision work at East Providence Auto Body, to the benefits at Hot Rides (formally Lucien?s) which are restoration, mechanical (on new and old cars), sales and locating specialty vehicles for customers.
    The merger of these two companies gives us the unique ability to accomplish things that no other restoration shop can do in all of New England. Therefore, no matter what type of car you drive, or what type of service you need, East Providence Auto Body and/or Hot Rides, Inc., will meet your needs and exceed your expectations!
