Hot Breads

It used to be good 4&1/2 years back when I came to Boston. Now they are extremely money minded and becoming more and more poor on quality. They say that lunch buffet is $6 but quietly add charges for Naan. The quality of the buffet items is so stale and so bad. While paying if asked why are the additional charges, they try to reason out that the charges are only $6 for the buffet, which is why they charge the naan!! which is so irritating to hear after eating the stale food , rather leaving most of the food on the plate. The other prices of Vada paav & Daabeli , pastries & cookies have more than doubled in last 4 years. Quality is also not good. I think the clarified butter used or may be they use hydrogenated vegetable oil (Dalda) , for cookies which is of a bad quality, I immediately got a bad sore throat after having 2 to 3 cookies. I suggest go to some good restaurants like Pongal instead for your lunch buffet. Atleast Ambassador (on Washington St- Cummigs park) is far better. You will enjoy your afternoon with lots of varieties for just a bit of more price more

This a small place in downtown Woburn. The cakes, breads and the freshly made cookies are yummy. You can get also get Croissants with Indian flavor. The jalapeno cheese and the mixed vegetable croissants are one of the best. Their other Indian good eats like vada pav and dabeli are superb. Whenever I go to Boston area... a visit here is always on my schedule. more
