Established in 1989, Serenity HospiceCare is a nonprofit, spiritually-based organization that focuses on the emotional, physical and social development of individuals with a terminal illness. It serves the residents of St. Francois, Ste. Genevieve, Perry, Iron, Madison, Jefferson and Reynolds counties in Missouri. The organization oversees a professional staff comprised of physicians, nurses, social workers, pharmacists, chaplains and volunteers. HospiceCare offers services in the areas of bereavement and emotional support, medications, and pain and symptom management. It provides palliative care and outreach services to help people locate and obtain services available in their community. Additionally, the organization offers 24-hour crisis response services.
