I came to Hope lounge recently had an amazing time , the drinks are cheap and very good, the music was hot they played all types mixed up, electro, house, some really good stuff , and the crowd was random I even met a few cool people good time this is def going on my list to go back! I went here on a whim with some friends from BK. I had nooo idea what to expect, but when i walked in, i was pleasantly surprised. Its not a huge place, not a fancy place, but for what they've got its so well put together. Diverse crowd, with everyone mingling. The outdoor patio is great!!! Big, spacious, and just very chill. I went on a Friday night, they had everything from top hip-hop to reggae/reggaeton to salsa music. I personally loved it. Drinks were very reasonable (its BK). My girlfriends and I checked this place out after reading its review in New York Magazine. The magazine voted Hope Lounge as one of the city's top 15 outdoor drinking spots. After I read about its huge outdoor patio, I had to visit. This place is really spectacular - from the sensual red walls on the inside to the spacious outdoor patio with tropical plants and BBQ grill, this spot has it all. Awesome new place to hang in williamsburg.. went to a pretty wild party night last weekend with a few DJs and a lively fun crowd. I went again this week on a more mellow night. Bartenders were good looking and friendly. They have a really large selection of beers and I tried about 4 different types that were all good. I went to Hope Lounge last week and heard a great DJ spin on Saturday evening. In addition to the music, they had a simple, but terrific barbeque at reasonable prices. The bar staff were friendly and the drinks were also reasonably priced, especially for such a well-kept place. While the decor was kind of upscale, the place was also very down-to-earth. As a long time resident of Williamburg I am taken a back at the number of bars and restaurants cropping up almost weekly. After months of making the rounds I've discovered all bars have a signature and this one matches mine perfectly! The interior is warm and inviting, bartenders are very cool and the owners are down-to-earth and accessible. I prefer going in on a week night to avoid the weekend crowd. I too, look forward to the Spring and Summer to sip my drink outdoors and sample their barbecue.\r \r The interior bar windows give you glimpses of the outside through the parade of display bottles. So, as you sip your beer or cocktail you can watch the rain and/or snow fall or sun descend. It is a welcome, soothing effect after a long day at work. This is such a warm and cozy place to spend a cold night. Great decor, friendly bartenders, and comfy couches. Such an unexpected find on a quiet street. Can't wait to hang outside in the huge patio once summer arrives. more
