Hop woo is a place located right across the renaissance theater. It is on valley and garfield and very easily spotted. It is a nice chinese restaurant that offers lunch specials from 4.25. Although the food is somewhat edible, the service is terrible and waiters don't treat you with respect. They just do it because they get paid. But you should consider to go here because of the food and not hte service. more

Very good traditional chinese food 10/4/2005

When i come here i have very good traditional chinese food. The usual fish and crab with the tasty lobster. They have a pretty good atmosphere with the usual chinese decorations. Along with the friendly waitresses and waiters willing to refill your tea numours times as i was there. You can have your big family banquets with the full course meal there for a good bargain... will come back again. more

Hop Woo Restaurant 9/30/2005

Very delicious selection of common Chinese dishes. I just love the fried rice which they make. They use no MSG and use only the freshest ingredients. I would recommend their orange chicken which is just wonderful. Their prices aren't that steep and that is also a good thing about this place. You will come hungry and leave full and satisfied for sure. more

This place is pretty good. They have some great pork that they sell. The last time I went here, I was with a friend and she treated me to some fried rice. At first I did not like it and then when I ate it, I fell in love with it. They don't have a wide variety of drinks though. Most of the drinks they have are sprit, coke, and water. You can get soy milk but it's not that great. I just concentrate on the real food. Prices are pretty good. Parking is bad though because of tight spaces. more

Pretty typical chinese cuisine although the food there is at an affordable price. Their lunch specials features over 70 items ranging from about $4.95-$6.50. They also have good deals on the weekdays with their family set menus where four plates only costs around $20. They also have the lobster special where you buy a pound, and get one pound free. The service is decent although it can get very busy and crowded. This is not an ideal place for a romantic dinner. more
