Hoosier Equipment is an Indiana corporation and was incorporated in July 1965. James E. Farmer and Ralph E. Farmer purchased the company stock in February 1978. Charles D. Farmer became an equity owner of the company in 1988. The original business purpose of the company was gasoline service, maintenance and sales. It has been performing environmental construction work since 1988. Over that period of time, Hoosier has excavated and/or dismantled more than 2,600 underground and aboveground storage tanks. These tanks have ranged in size from 275 gallons to in excess of 1 million gallons in configuration. The operations of the company have evolved in the past years to that of tank removal, environmental remediation, environmental incident response, tank testing and many other environmental activities..
