Walking into this little Sushi place has restored my faith that there are still places out there that actually care about how you feel when you walk in to an establishment, when you're eating, and yes, even after you leave. I like the fact that isn't crawling with people or waitstaff bumbling all over each other, running around, etc... I chose to sit outside on the patio because of the view overlooking the little lake. Very serene...\r
My waitress was Jackie, whom I highly recommend asking for by name, made me feel like....searching for the right phrase here, like I had been there many times before and....put it this way, VERY comfortable! Her attitude was pleasant and professional, with extremely high spirits, makes you wanna come back again, y'know?\r
After ordering off the picture menu, which was helpful, I received my Miso soup and a Japanese beer( I have the luxury of drinking when I want, he he, although I had to decline the Saki bomb due to a previous experience, lol). After a brief wait, my food came, I had the most unbelievable bluefin tuna from Jackie's recommendation, a Volcano roll, and an order of Yellow tail sashimi, and I topped it all off with an extra side of fresh wasabi. So delicious! After a brief but pleasant conversation with the waitress, I was going to make my way to the door but Jackie insisted on a complimentary order of Mochi ice cream. Sooooooo good! I paid the bill which was reasonable for what I ordered and was on my way. I have never written a review before, but I felt it necessary to reward them with my honest opinion. I highly recommend that you try this little nook when you're in the Ray and Dobson area. Tell them David the IT guy sent you!
Pros: The service here is unmatched - day or night, and the food is phenomenal! great view...
Cons: smaller restaurant, not really a con but if it gets busy...no free miso soup :)
