Hong Luck Restaurant

I have been a long time customer of this restaurant. When I first went there I was a little sketchy because every other Chinese restaurants food is garbage.... I refuse to eat any other Chinese food now... I would give them 10 stars if I could more

The food was just not good. Everything was dried out terribly and overcooked. The pork was burned up and the chicken was tough. The crabmeat was old smelling and tasting. I did not find any courteous employees and I was truly disappointed and will never go back. I was a customer for years and moved from the area. I decided to drive out there to get some good food and what a mistake. I am a former restaurant owner and would never serve what was served to me, it seemed as if it was left from someone else's dinner and I would never treat my customers as rudely as I felt I was treated when I complained. more

Hong Luck restaurant is such an awesome place. Not only is the decor really cool, like Katie S. says, but the food is incredible and the people are so, so nice! When you enter the funky looking tiki bar is on the right (and unfortunately it has smoking) but to the left is a really neat waiting area with comfy chairs and interesting magazines. The thing of it is though, they are too quick in the kitchen with your take-out order and you never really get a chance to get that far into a magazine! Also the booths right there in the front of the restaurant are just too cool, for individual lamps over the tables they have what look like blowfish! What keeps everybody coming back though is the incredibly delicious food (try the sesame chicken, mild with no veggies). Or the shrimp and string beans. YUM! And within just a couple weeks of going here to regularly pick up take-out you will be recognized and greeted by name. It's just too cool. more

Have you every seen a Chinese resturant with a bar inside? I hadn't either until I entered Hong Luck Chinese Resturant on New Falls Rd. On the left, is a typical looking resturant, on the right a lounge/bar I was surprised to find. Although I did not sit at the bar, the presence of it gives eating at this place a unique je-ne-sais-qoi. The food is wonderful and comparable in price. Take out is prepared before you make it down the street to pick it up. And perhaps most importantly, the employees are nice and always seem happy to see you. Check it out! more
