Living in the current climate of not knowing who to really trust when there are so many out there to milk you for every dime. Not Honest Plumbing. We have an old house, our pipes are 75-years old and now need to be replaced. A small leak in the laundry room (which we've always known more would have to be done with it) ended up yielding a huge undertaking. The guys gave me an estimate, which we could not afford right now as I'm not working. We decided to go with the immediate fix.
The next thing you know, Ben the owner is knocking on my door and we discussed the situation. He's a good, decent man who wants to help his customers and will go above and beyond to do so. His philosopy is when he bumps into us at the grocery store, he wants to feel that his customers will shake his hand and smile warmly. Good way to operate a business I say.
So we figured a way to make things work and he even threw in a few extras. Having an old house has just raised another serious plumbing pipe-to-sewer issue that is far more extreme and costly, but he's making it work for us. It's something that has to be done, and I know other operations would charge far more.
It takes A LOT for me to trust ANYONE in the service industry, but I have to tell you, this man and his crew are gems. When he's finished with this major project, I told him my husband and I will take him and his wife to dinner if all he discussed goes as planned.
Now we have our Burbank plumber and will never have to worry again. Peace of mind folks!
