Since moving from Eugene, Oregon in 2007, we have been unable to locate a dealership that was reliable and not just trying to sell us additional services when not needed. Approximately three weeks ago, our SRS indicator light came on in our 2001 Accord and I searched the Google to find out what that might mean. Several comments were made including this is normally checked out by a dealer, free of charge and the unit could be replaced under a 10 year Honda warranty.
With this knowledge, I called the previous dealer we had been working with. He said we would have to make an appointment to have it checked to determine the problem. After I asked him the price of the inspection fee, he gave me a minimum bid of $75!!
After that phone call I called Honda of Hillsboro and spoke with one of their Service Advisors named Jack. He was very friendly and outgoing and said that he would be more than happy to check out problem on their computer FREE OF CHARGE. Just ""drop on in.""
Went to dealer that afternoon and met Jack. He suggested that we just wait in their customer sitting area. Went there. They had hot coffee, water and muffins to eat. Again staff was all very cordial and friendly. After he found the problem, he told us that our car WAS still under a 10 year warranty and we would not have to pay for the completion of the work. He could order the part Tuesday and have it ready to complete the work on Thursday. Not bad, huh! :-}
With that news, we felt like we had finally found a good mechanic and dealership to keep our car in good repair. Honda's the best! We then asked them to do additional work for us on the same day. They picked me up at my office to get my car after work. Very impressed. They also offer shuttle service starting at 7 am so I won't be late and they wash all the cars they service. Not so with the other dealer.
I don't typically write long reviews like this, but knowing the number of people that own Honda vehicles, I thought you should know about the great service department available at Honda of Hillsboro.
Pros: Excellent customer service, shuttle service available.
