We own a 2006 VW Jetta TDI and the warranty is about to run out on it, so we have been looking at buying a 2012 Jetta. We have used the service department in P.C. since we have owned the vehicle and have gotten excellent service from them. Couldn't ask for any better!!! So, we visited the sales department the end of December to see about trading. The guy insulted us, giving us very little allowance on our 2006 Jetta. He really didn't act very interested in selling to us. We later went to Ft. Walton and got a much better offer but it was still not quite what we want to pay. Then, the sales department contacted us about our lifetime oil service. Said we needed tocontact them to get a card if wedidn't have one because they were stopping this when they moved to the new location. I called and talked to Terry Smith about the card. She immediately wanted to know if I was interested in buying a new Jetta and getting the lifetime oil change for it. I told her we had been looking and I sent her an email several weeks prior about our experience in December. I told her the amount we would trade for. She wanted to know if we could come in Saturday. She had to get an answer on my email, but she would go to her manager right then if we could come in. I told her we could. In about an hour, Wenn from sales called my husband and asked quesions about our Jetta. He got all the information from him and indicated he was ready to trade with us on our terms and said he looked forward to seeing us Saturday. When we arrived, no one seemed to know who we were or why we were there. It was a horrible experience. Wenn talked to us briefly and then went back to his office. When he returned 5 minutes later, he suddenly remembered he was the one that had talked to my husband on Friday, the day before. But he had lost all the paperwork from Friday and had to get the information from us again. Finally, he gave us the trade difference, which of course, was nothing close to the amount we had told them we would trade for. He did not act like he remembered anything about the conversation the day before. We were totally disgusted, due to the fact that we drove 85 miles down there and 85 milesback for nothing. Wenn was totally clueless. Then, we asked for our lifetime oil change card, and they couldnt even give us that. Said they couldnt pull it up in the system. Would have to wait till Monday and contact service department. I sent Terry Smith an email when we got home Saturday night and told her the situation and asked for my lifetime oil change card to be mailed to me. 1 week later I have neither heard from her nor received my card.
