I bought my first Honda from Honda of Kingston (HoK) in 1988. That car was retired last year with more than 400K miles on it. HoK performed most service on it for the first 380K miles or so. On the rare occasion when something was wrong with work performed, they always made good on it without argument. I've since bought 3 more Honda's from them (all Certified Pre-Owned cars) and I've been delighted with the salesman (Al Pistoia), the cars we bought, and continued excellent service. In recent years HoK has added Express Service on East Chester St. and that has greatly improved service convenience. My wife and I highly recommend Honda of Kingston based on our years of experience with their sales and service. more

bought a used ridgeline in june. within 1 week the radiator went and the engine was knocking. dealer refuses to fix engine knock. i returned it 3 times w/o success. \r \r Now i find out the vehicle was traded in with engine issues and was never repaired before i bought it. \r \r im waiting to hear from the NYS Attorney General and then seeking legal action.\r \r more

I was ripped off by Honda of Kingston on one occasion and almost on a second! They repaired my air conditioner and then the car (otherwise fine) stalled in the middle of an intersection. ""Squirrels"" were blamed for eating my car wires and I was charged $125 over the quoted price. The salesgirl was extremely rude and raised her voice to me! I had the car inspected elsewhere and was told there were no issues. I only went to Honda to have the trunk repaired. They quoted me $200 because it ""required"" a part, plus I would need to cough up another $600 because they said the brake pads were shot. I took my car elsewhere and was charged $30 for the trunk repair and told that the brakes were just fine. The car has been running (brakes and all) in good condition ever since. I learned a rather expensive and time-consuming lesson and will NEVER go back to Honda of Kingston again!!!! more

2012 Honda Buying Experience 5/15/2012

The sales force at Honda of Kingston is always helpful, never leaving me standing, wanting service. The sales guys are very busy, especially Saturdays (so try to avoid Saturdays), but that is a sign of known good sales service when shoppers swamp the known supportive sales office. My sales person, in combination with the finance staff, always answered my special concerns for a higher mileage lease, or extended term finance plan. I was not shoehorned into their pre-planned preferred package, nor did I get the feeling they had a hidden agenda of selling a car off their local lot (which this wasn't), or closing the deal by month's end (which it wasn't). Even follow-up questions a month after the sale were addressed professionally and without delay. A good experience, and my 4th Honda purchase; so they must be doing it right! more
