Staying in a hotel in the city where you grew up and where your family and friends still live is awkward and frustrating, but this hotel surely makes things much more comfortable and enjoyable than the alternatives. The double queen suites are spacious and nice. The amenities were delightfully surprising (breakfast and even dinner Monday-Thursday, great workout room, business center, pool/spa) and everything was very nicely decorated for the holidays. A friendly staff, plenty of room, and a brand new hotel make this the best suite hotel in Buffalo. The aesthetically displeasing location is the only drawback, but makes up for it with its close location to 290 and airport.
