Homeview Contractors

My wife and I had used them in the past for window installation and were satisfied, however when they recently pressured us into having foam insulation installed, all hell broke loose. We made a deposit, cash, for the installation because they had ""promised"" such a quick turnaround. I took time off from work to supervise the installation and waited. They called to say their truck broke down and would have to reschedule. Weeks went by before a sales manager called and told us they needed to take pictures of the attic first (then why did they schedule the 1st appointment?) he came out took the pictures and we rescheduled. I took another day off and waited all day. They never showed, never called. Weeks later they call again not even apologizing but aggressively trying to get me to continue waiting on them and that it was too cold to install the insulation anyway. My wife spoke with them to get our money back and they told us that they would refund it and the check was in the mail. A few weeks they call again saying they were sending the check to someone else with a similar name and that we can't get our money back because they have 6 months to do the job. The funniest part was they got angry with ME because I wasn't happy with their service. Interesting customer relations. They gave us a discount for our time and we rescheduled. No show again. I want my deposit back. Don't use these guys. more

It turns out that I changed my mind and wanted to cancel my appointment with this contractor and the high-pressure tactics were in full swing. I had to explain to four people that I wanted to cancel my appointment. The final guy I spoke to wanted me to prove that I wanted to cancel the appointment. He asked me why and I just told him I was not interested and then he got angry with me. Asking me time and time again why I wanted to cancel. I kept asking him if there was anything else he needed from me, and he wouldn't answer. You'll want to avoid these guys. more
