Haven't eaten at this restaurant for a while, but my mom LOVES coconut cake and I remember Hometown has a lovely presentation of their baked goods. On a whim I called and ordered one-half of a coconut cake and one-half of a dark chocolate with peanut butter frosting cake (my mom's two faves). Mom is picky about her cakes but she absolutely LOVED both of them (as did the rest of us at her party). They were perfect! The coconut cake was white cake and it was light, airy, with a whipped frosting and coconut -- it was heavenly. The chocolate cake was super dark (Black Joe) cake with peanut butter frosting -- super delish! I'll definitely use the bakery again and look forrward to eating a meal there soon! My only complaint was that the girl at the check out was not friendly and frankly not nice at all. more
