I went here because I am new in town and was looking for a good buffet to eat at. I went in and to say the least was very disappointed. They had the regular food that you would expect at a 'home cooked' type place but everything was either without taste or dry. I will never be eating here again especially for the price.. First of all, let me clarify one thing -- this ain't no Black Angus. In other words, this isn't the place to take a date to impress her...unless she a horse. The food is usually fresh due to high volume customer rate and there is a decent variety, although most are relatively ""cheap"" food. Once I went there to dig into their ""limited time"" pork rib special, but I was disappointed with quick disappearance of few ribs they put out and also with poor quality. This large, vinyl-deco restaurant pleases every palate with its cheerful, Heinz-57 approach to food. The 3 hot buffet tables offer self-serve meat, poultry, seafood and potatoes, macncheese and stuffing depending on the evening (check website). An additional soup/condiment table offers an alternative to the 2 salad bars; a beverage station and dessert bar round out the menu. Think decent cafeteria food - hot stuff is hot, cold stuff is cold, and ice cream or bread pudding from the oven can finish the meal. Potatoes are like glue, fried foods taste sour many evenings. Prepare for a 20+ minute wait for seating evenings/weekends. Definitely family-friendly.
