overall, Homegrown Pizza has great food, and a friendly wait staff. They offer half price appetizers on Monday through Friday until 6. sadly, i have seen people come into the resturant wanting the same discount after 6, when they have clearly entered 30 minutes or more later. This upsets me because people should understand that they are late, so they dont get the discount. i think it's only fair. I've lived in the area for 12 or more years now, and i'm glad that such a resturant has opened up to the community. Homegrown Pizza does a lot fo the community, including donating items and meals to certain fundraisers and to the schools in the area. The pizza is unbeatable, and the staff is very friendly and open to conversating with their customers. I enjoy having a waitress talk to me instead of just getting my order. It shows that they care about their job, and enjoy working there. That says a lot about a place's character. The fact that the wait staff enjoys working there, and they take time out of their busy work schedule to talk to you, shows that they care about the customers. The blue cheese and ranch dressings are home-made (i'm pretty sure) and are completely worth trying! I've enjoyed pretty much every time i've come to homegrown and i would recommend it to anyone who asked. I've even dragged my friends from places as far as wilmington, and southern pines just so they can try the food...and of course, they love it just as much as i do! actually, my friend in wilmington wants the owner to open one there! So, as i've said, Homegrown pizza is a great experience for anyone who is willing to give it a chance. I recommend it!
Pros: blue cheese, ranch, cheese fries, pizza
Cons: other customers who treat their waitress rudly
