Home Grown Café, located next to a gift shop touting the same name (I'm guessing they're owned by the same person) is a chic and healthy dining option for Newark residents and college students alike. The place is always packed on evenings, and prices for entrées range from moderate to expensive. Food here is natural and delicious, and HG is a great place to take your vegetarian friend for an evening out. more

Great Natural Gift Shop 3/8/2006

Home Grown is a great place to find one-of-a-kind gifts for the organic/naturalist's heart. I have heard rave reviews in regards to their selection and quality of handwoven gloves and mittens. Prices are a little on the steep side, but I'm guessing those who shop here are doing it more on principle than for a bargain. more
