Cute store 4/25/2006

This is a great little place to go for baking tips and tools. They have a very extensive, specialized selection, wonderful cookbooks, icing tips, and all sorts of fun things. Warning - do not stop in if you are planning to diet. You'll want to eat all of your yummy creations! more

My favorite store! 12/31/2005

Being an avid party thrower, I have come to love and appreciate Home Cake Decorating Supply CO. Every single time I have been in there - the owner has been immensly helpful. She always gives me helpful tips and helps me figure out just how to create whatever it is I'm trying to accomplish. They stock everything you could ever want in the area of cake decorating and the quality is SO much better than anywhere else!! more

Endless possibilities 8/21/2005

Sweet sugar flowers (daisies, anyone?), googly eyes, golf ball-shaped molds for chocolate, gum paste cutters, and novelty muffin tin liners are amongst some of the items one discovers when perusing the crowded shelves at the Home Cake Decorating Supply. Chefs shop here, home bakers shop here, and budding pastry artists shop here. Their selection of food coloring alone is astounding (the rainbow of hues; the textures – gel, paste, powder), and that is just the tip of the icing. more

Need to bake a cake 8/17/2005

Do you need to bake a cake? Then this place is for you. They have everything you will ever (or never) need for any aspect of cake preparation or decoration. It doesn’t matter if you are making a birthday or wedding cake or just want something out of the ordinary, if you need a special pan or piece of cake decorating equipment, they have it. It can be a little overwhelming so plan to spend a little time there. more

This shop takes the cake 6/16/2005

Service does not get any more personal than this. The proprietress of this small NE cake supply shop has a line out the door of customers waiting for her advice as much as her cake supplies. Home bakers casually congregate at this hole-in-the-wall oasis of cakedom. Anything you need, Griel carries. She takes every last second of time you need to get your order assembled, so plan for a few extra minutes to wander about and peruse the shelves as you wait for your turn. The 2 parking spots out front are hardly enough to manage her following. Even if you don't bake, but you really like cake, this place is worth a visit. It's like taking a trip back to the 60s. more
