You would think that a food pantry would be full of people who actually want to help you. This is not the case at Holy Angels. As a first time food pantry goer, I walked in eager in hopes that I might leave with some groceries in this time of ecomonic despair. Once inside and pointed in the right direction to sign up, a frail old woman walked up and snidely (also very loudly) remarked at this being my first time there. She went on to tell me there was ten other new people ahead of me and 45 minutes was not ample time for them to get to me. As she embarrassed me in front of a room full of people, she had no sympathy or compassion in her voice. It was obvious, I was a complete nucance to her. So, I was turned away without food and my feelings hurt. It is unfortunate that women belonging to a church organization could be so rude.
