I've yet to make this trip but have been booked for July. I had a query with regard to the travel from LA to San Francisco and sent them an email and the response received was fantastic detailing all options of travel. Fantastic 3/28/2011

This hotel was more then we expected for the price, the rooms were very comfortable & clean, very quiet, we usually stay in executive suites when we travel, this hotel is fantastic, good customer service and fantastic breakfast, we will use it again when we are in L.A. for business. more

female and 2 males I dealt with were very friendly and helpful. I found our room was a good size and had a real nice bathroom. The bed was very comfortable and room was very clean. Breakfast was good also. more

I felt very pampered 3/8/2011

I would recommend the Hollywood Hotel. I came in town for a friend's wedding, which was also held here on site and stayed overnight. The room was spacious and luxurious. I felt very pampered. I especially enjoyed the delicious breakfast offered complimentary the next day. The staff were very helpful and kind, too. more

This hotel was beautiful inside and extremely comfortable; the staff was very accomodating and we had a lovely breakfast every morning. It was nicely situated and we could catch the train or bus close to the hotel to go anywhere in Los Angeles! more

one of the best hotels 2/8/2011

When it comes to value for money, this would be one of the best hotels that i have stayed in. The service in the hotel is excellent, the rooms are clean (the bathrooms immaculate), and the hotel was conveniently located about 150 meters from my work. I stayed at the hotel for about ten days and was very pleased with it. more

Location not bad, near metro(underground), really convenient to universal studio. One day tour busses are also provided. Actually thinking it hard to find a good location with nice inviroment around LA without using a private car. more

We were very Happy with our stay at this HOTEL - David on THE FRONT DESK was VERY HELPFUL and goes out of his way to oblige. LOCATION is excellent, and close to all the action, and just a short stroll to Capital Building and Hollywood walk of fame. ROOMS a little small by todays standard, but the fridge, microwave and comfortable bed make up for all that. BATHROOMS recently renovated and good. All in all would definitely recommend this little piece of Hollywood history. more

friendly & helpful 12/3/2010

A last-minute trip to Hollywood brought us to this hotel. It was an extremely pleasant experience easy to find. Parking was just $5. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel was clean throughout. (Just want to note that they appeared to be doing renovations on our floor, but it never disturbed us in any way). A generous continental breakfast was provided, with cereal, coffee, tea, juices, fruit, muffins and I think waffles. But we also had a mini-fridge, coffeepot and microwave in our room. more

I traveled alone with my 10 year old daughter and the hotel suited our needs perfectly. The pool is smaller than in the pictures but it was big enough for us. It was close to lots of things and the people are very friendly and helpful. The gift shop guy is great if you need any help getting around. He is sweet. more

you get a full breakfast 11/9/2010

I vacationed in the Hollywood area between Oct. 27th and Nov. 1st. I was not familiar with the area and had heard conflicting reports warning me about the neighborhood since I was a woman traveling alone. I decided to take my chances and see for myself and I couldn't have been more pleased. I was able to check in early and was given a nice room with a courtyard view. The hotel staff were accommodating in every aspect. My room and the hotel in general were well kept and I being a woman traveling alone I felt safe. I was comfortable walking around the neighborhood and public transporatation was complete accessible. As an added perk, continental breakfast was more than just fruit and bagels, you get a full breakfast. I plan to travel to the area several times a year and would definitely stay at The Hollywood Hotel again. more

Great room 11/1/2010

reserved 2 of the same rooms at the same time. When we got there, the 2 rooms were seperate. However, when I got into my room, I was so impressed. It was huge with a kitchen, 2 beds, and a huge bathroom. It had tons of lights and a couch. Unfortunately our travel buddies got a small standard room so they were a litlle jealous because we paid the same amount. It was a nice room still with a balcony overlooking a fountain. more

The beds are so comfy you do not want to get out of them. Easy walk to restaurants, convenience store across the street. Try Palermo for great Italian food - 6 blocks away. Very nice for the price. more

excellent value for money 10/26/2010

I stayed in this hotel for 2 nights with my husband and what a wonderful stay we had. I had read some of the reviews and wasn't sure what to expect, but from the moment we checked in to the time we left, it was fantastic!! I had screwed up the booking but the 2 men at the front desk were helpful and had us checked in, in no time. The free breakfast each morning was delicious and kept us going well past lunch time. The room was new, with a nice flat screen TV. I had requested a quiet room not overlooking a busy road and that's exactly what they gave us, so sleeping at night was peaceful and restful. I couldn't hear any of the people in the rooms next to us or in the hallway and I am a light sleeper. more
