This is one of the better markets near Hollywood/West Hollywood. No where near as good as the ones in Northern California or the Santa Monica version, but the best alternative otherwise. The prepared food is just a tad above the street fair, but expensive; there's also limited places to sit and enjoy your food, so unless your hungry, something to avoid. The arts and crafts are also very street fair and generally pretty overpriced and limited at that. But you really go to a place like this for the produce, which is of very good quality, with friendly vendors. \r

You really need to walk around to get a feel for the selection and, as an example, you can find a basket of strawberries from one vendor at one price and find the same basket (i.e. non organic, just another conventional basket) at a sufficiently lower enough price. Besides, the best thing about the place is the people watching. Fun by yourself or with friends.\r

The flowers and plants can also be a good bargain, especially towards the last 30 minutes of the day.
Pros: Good produce, healthy and fresh food
Cons: crowds and lack of parking
