I came here with my sister (who had gotten married 8 years ago) and got everything at Hollywood Bridal. I was shocked to see that it was still the same owner after all these years. Since my sister took me in, they said they would give us some free things for the wedding (red trays, tea cup set) for the referral. I was a bit skeptical about the place because it was located in Bolsa and I barely speak Vietnamese. Good thing my sister speaks it very well and there were some fluent English speaking associates there, which made me feel very comfortable. I've been to some places in Bolsa where I could not understand a single thing coming out of the associates' mouth so it made it very difficult for me to communicate with them! They gave me a great deal on my wedding package because I had a large wedding party. I had 8 groomsmen, 8 bridesmaids, and 2 flowergirls. My husband got the new black striped tux for $75 and a white one for $60. My groomsmen got a 3-button tux for $65. The rentals included shoes that were squared on the top (I hate oval dress shoes!) Since I got 10 tuxes there, they gave me a free one for my father (I think it was the $35 one? It was simple but still nice and also came with shoes). The bridesmaid dress we got had to be ordered in for my theme color of coral and came within 2 weeks. I loved how it came fast because having 8 bridesmaids, it was extremely difficult to get them all come out to the store for measurements. I also got my flowers done here too and it was absolutely gorgeous. They also did my draping for the hotel with my theme color coral. It ended up costing less than half of what some other places quoted me! My bridesmaids and I also did our hair and makeup here too. They were able to finish all of us by 9am (tea ceremony at 10am) and I loved it. Of course I did a trial with them first (you only one chance of being a bride!) and it costed $100. But I would rather be safe than sorry. They did an airbrush makeup for only me and it included a free retouch at night. It cost $200 for the bride and $85 for my bridesmaids. I'm really glad I came here and that my sister took me in. They made it so much easier for me and I didn't need to go to many other places for my wedding stuff! I bought my wedding gown, rented tuxedos for my wedding party, and had my wedding flowers done at Hollywood Bridal. After reading the above review about the lost wedding gown. I was terrified for my clothing and flower reservation so I confronted the owner. She assured me the business had been around for over 10 yrs. w/ very good reputation. She had never lost a wedding gown before. That it was an unfortunate incident. The owner said someone stole the gown while she was busy bringing things in and out the store leaving some of the stuffs unattended outside. It was a matter of 5-10 mins. The owner said she paid a full amount for the gown. The store could purchase wedding gowns at wholesale price so why steal a customer's wedding gown, paid almost $2000, and get bad publicity. Every bride has different preference so I kinda believe her. My wedding was 2 weeks ago. I love my wedding gown, the tuxedos were great, and flowers were gorgeous. BRIDES BEWARE!!! PLEASE STAY AWAY!!! I came here yesterday, 4/1/09, to drop off my one-of-a-kind wedding gown for dry cleaning and today, the owner, Xuan Thu, called to say that she LOST my gown!!! First of all, how do you lose a wedding gown when it was the only one that you took for dry cleaning??? She said that she personally took the dress home with her after she closed the store, went shopping, and the next morning when she drove to the cleaners, she found the dress missing!!! How can a dress grow legs and walk away from the car? When she offered to pay a few hundred dollars, I told her it was custom designed and cost $2000. That was when she started making all the excuses that had she known it was that much, she wouldn't have accepted it. For all I know, she probably stole it to keep at her store for future rentals. I should have been suspicious when I walked out of the store without them giving me a ticket for the item even after I asked for it. She said that she would remember it. She made the comment ""that's such a beautiful dress"" and the next thing is now it's lost!!! PLEASE DO NOT GO HERE!!! She's not even taking the responsibility to pay for the full value of the dress and WANTS ME TO MAKE A DEAL WITH MY DESIGNER TO MAKE THE DRESS FOR a couple of hundred dollars since they have already made money off of me and now it's just a replacement! It's really a priceless gown when you have it custom designed for you. This will likely go to civil court if she is unwilling to replace the monetary value of the dress PLUS the rush time to make it.
